Sweet Readers has been extremely important to me. The Sisulu-Walker Charter School Sweet Readers program was even more impactful as my grandma taught there for many years before being diagnosed and sadly passing away with Alzheimer's. Bridging Communities
Hello! We are Ella and Arya and we are juniors at Nightingale and Young Leaders this year. Arya was a Sweet Reader in seventh grade and this is her first year as a Young Leader. Ella has been a Sweet Reader since fifth grade and a Young Leader since freshman year. This period of uncertainty has been a passage for all of us. We have had to adapt and change with this unprecedented time. Passages affect each of us differently, but one thing is always the same we come out changed.
